Roatán Underwater Photo Fest

November 2-9, 2019

Fifth Annual Roatán Underwater Photo Fest hosted at Turquoise Bay Resort and Subway Watersports

Spend a week improving your underwater photo and video skills in Roatán with Brandi Mueller and Andrew Raak.

Roatán is a fantastic location for underwater photography with a variety of subjects from healthy reefs, interesting underwater cavern systems and all sorts of marine life from sharks to tiny macro critters. Easy diving conditions - warm water, good viz, mild or no current - make it a perfect place to “go slow” and try different techniques without the pressure to swim "fast" around a reef and see as much as possible. There are always subjects to shoot, big and small!

All levels of photographers are invited. Turquoise Bay is offering 2-3 dives each day, afternoon and evening lectures, editing sessions and one-on-one training. At the end of the week is a friendly photo contest with amazing prizes from fabulous sponsors.

Brandi Mueller

Brandi Mueller is a photographer and writer aiming to document and share the beauty of our planet, particularly the underwater realm. She is an obsessive traveler who has been to more than 60 countries and dived over half of them but loves returning each year to Roatan to re-visit some of her favorite underwater photography dive sites. She loves sharing her travels and adventures in hopes they will inspire others to take up diving or become more aware of the ocean environment.

Brandi fell in love with the ocean at an early age and studied marine biology at the University of Tampa and continued on to the University of Hawaii for a Master’s degree. Throughout her studies, she was usually working part-time at a dive shop. She also worked several years for Aggressor Fleet and currently spends part of the year working on the Truk Odyssey liveaboard in Chuuk, Micronesia. The rest of the time she spends traveling and diving all around the world.
