Updates for re-entry into the United States by destination
The CDC has instituted a new mandate on Jan 12, 2021 that effective Jan 26, 2021 anyone entering the United States from a foreign country must have a negative COVID test taken 72 hours prior to departure from the country they are departing.
The CDC has stated that, “the negative pre-departure test must be a viral test that was conducted on a specimen collected during the 3 calendar days preceding the flight’s departure from a foreign country.” They later define a viral test as, “viral detection test for current infection (i.e., a nucleic acid amplification test or a viral antigen test) approved or authorized by the relevant national authority for the detection of SARS-CoV-2.”
There are also exceptions for those who have proof of previously testing and recovered from COVID-19 within the last 90 days that carry the antibody.
There are also further disclaimers regarding guests who have connecting flights and layover information.
We highly recommend if you are travelling that you reference the CDC’s link to the latest rules about re-entry testing here.
We will continue to update this page with specific information on testing facilities for each country and additional information from hotels that may offer onsite testing capabilities.
