A unique opportunity for total immersion into one of the ocean's greatest shows. Each year, millions of sardines migrate en masse through the sub-tropical seas of South Africa’s Wild Coast. These moving clouds of life draw ocean predators of every stripe, which gather to gorge on this swirling buffet of baitfish.

When threatened, the tiny fish gather into tight, protective clusters known as bait balls. Circling and charging through these living spheres are diving birds, dolphins, sharks and whales. Because this annual spectacle takes place relatively close to the coast, it provides a select few divers with a unique opportunity to secure a front-row seat for the action.

The Caradonna connection with BigAnimals Global Expeditions puts divers in the heart of the action, working with guides and outfitters with more than a decade of experience. Participants in this two-week adventure spend evenings in a scenic coastal lodge and have 11 full days to follow the run.
